ANGELOS BAKOGIANNIS - CONVENOR

Being a linguist by background, I have been involved in English Language Teaching for more than 15 years. Since 2010, I have been teaching English for Academic Purposes and Study Skills in UK Higher Education. I am currently based at the English Language Centre, Teesside University leading and co-ordinating Academic Literacies for the Foundation Year in Health (School of Health and Life Sciences) and contributing to the Pre-sessional English Language Programme and the In-sessional English Language Support. I am particularly interested in Academic Literacies, Doctoral Education and Multi-modal Approaches to Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
